Full Ammo and All Weapons
Pause gameplay and press L1, L2, R1, R2, Triangle, Circle, X, Square.

Invincibility
Pause gameplay and press L1, L1, L2, L2, R1, R1, R2, R2.

Level Select
Play up to Subway A1. Return to the Main Menu and press Up, Down, Left, Right, Up, Left, Down, Circle.

Max Payne (PS2) : cheats and hints
# Level select

Play through the game normally until completing Subway A1 and reach Chapter 2: One Way Or The Other. Pause the game and press Select to return to the main menu. Then at the main menu, press Up, Down, Left, Right, Up, Left, Down, Circle. Select the "Load level" option. Note: If playing without a memory card, select "Continue". All levels will now be unlocked.

# Invincibility

Pause the game and press L1(2), L2(2), R1(2), R2(2), Triangle, Circle, X, Square. Note: This code may need to be re-enabled after an auto-save.

# All weapons and full ammunition

Pause the game and press L1, L2, R1, R2, Triangle, Circle, X, Square. Note: This also gives you eight pain killer pills.

# Infinite bullet time

Pause the game and press L1, L2, R1, R2, Triangle, X(2), Triangle. Repeat this code to disable its effect.

# Slow motion sounds

Pause the game and press L1, L2, R1, R2, Triangle, Square, X, Circle.

# Additional difficulty settings

Successfully complete the game on the "Fugitive" difficulty setting to unlock the "Dead On Arrival" and "The New York Minute" difficulty settings.

# Last Challenge bonus level

Successfully complete the game on the "Dead On Arrival" difficulty setting.

# Secret programmer room

Successfully complete the Last Challenge bonus level. The doors in the back of the room will open up to the Remedy Room.

Max payne hidden room
Go on tutorial and get to the last part and go to the van jump on the thing next to it than jump on the metal stairs then go all the way to the top and you will see a clear windo you can see through break it!AND yo get in it and there is a very strong gun!

Harder settings
If you complete the game on fugitive difficulty you will open up the hard boiled and new york minute settings on the main menu under new game if you manage to complete hard boiled yo will unlock the fiendishly hard dead on arrival complete this setting to gain access to the secret end combat level

Max payne
Kung Fu Mode up left down triangle circle triangle circle square. New Guns. Find them in hidden rooms.
