People fight each other

Foggy Weather
During gameplay press L1, L2, R1, R2, R2, R1, L2, X.

Free Taxi
To get taxied around the city just jump on top of a cars bonnet then walk onto the roof. The driver won't even know your on there and will drive around the city to where ever their going.

Faster Taxis
To have faster taxis you must have 100 fares in cab game-mode. The taxis are at Borgnine in Harwood/Portland.

Higher Wanted Level
During gameplay press R2, R2, L1, R2, Left, Right, Left, Right, Left, Right.

Hooker Cheat Pt2
For some real fun after she gets out get out to and kick her ass until she's dead. She drops all her money that she took from you. Hahahahahaha free money, fun and most of all free health when you do this.

Get free shot gun
Go to ammo-nation store and after you buy a gun walk up to the clerk and try to point the gun at him the best you can because you can target him, kill him, he shoots back so do it fast and after you kill him walk up to the counter and you will get his shotgun.

Pedestrians Fight!
To cause the pedestrians to brawl, enter the following code during gameplay: RIGHT, R2, CIRCLE, R1, L2, DOWN, L1, R1. (Warning: Code can not be turned off do not save)

Clear Weather
During gameplay press L1, L2, R1, R2, R2, R1, L2, Triangle.

Drive By Shootings
To do a drive by shooting hold R2 + Circle also L2 + Circle with R2 he will shoot right and L2 left. He will stick out his hand threw the window and shoot. This only works with the UZI though. Good way to take out bosses to pull up next to them and shoot the hell out of them

Just Wheels
During gameplay press L1, L1, Square, R2, Triangle, L1, Triangle

More money
During gameplay press R2, R2, L1, L1, Left, Down, Right, Up, Left, Down, Rithg, Up

Invisable Cars

Lower Wanted Level

The Hooker Cheat
This works with hookers to get your health up. Drive up to a hooker the passenger side of the car and park next to her. She will bend over and chat to you. Stay there for a while and she will get in. Then take her to a alley or a hidden place. The car will begin to shake (wonder why) and your health will go up. You will lose 1 dollar per health point. After a while she'll get out repeat the process until you have full health. This only works when cops aren't chasing you and it doesn't work when driving cop cars, semi-trucks, buses, taxis or fire trucks. So just use a normal car.

Full Armor
During gameplay press R2, R2, L1, L2, Left, Down, Right, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up

All Weapons
During gameplay press R2, R2, L1, R2, Left, Down, Right, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up

Easier Bosses
An easy way to take out bosses is instead of fighting them get a good car before the fight like a Hum-V or a pickup truck and just RAM them. Then they get out after there car is screwed up and just run him over. Much easier then taking him on in shooting wars.

Flamethrower Location
In Portland go to Hepburn Heights. Right next to the projects is a train platform. Jump on it and go to your left. Keep going until you reach the building that is really close to the track. You should see the flamethrower on the roof top. Jump over and get it and now you have a flamethrower.

Tank
During gameplay press Circle, Circle, Circle, Circle, Circle, Circle, R1, L2, L1, Triangle, Circle, Triangle.

Flying (Dodo) car
While playing a game, press Right, R2, Circle, R1, L2, Down, L1, R1. When you do the code, Accelerate and press Up to fly.

Regain health (the other way)
First, get any car and drive up to a prostitute walking the streets. Stop and let her approach the car, after a few seconds of talking, she will get in. Drive to a remote sot (like a park or your hideout). Stop the car but do not get out. After a few seconds the car will start rocking back and forth. You will recover about 40 to 50 points of health. When it is over, she wil exit the car, and walk away, but not before she charges a fee. At this point you can beat her up and get your money back.

Get to Staunton Island Early
First activate the better driving code, the one where you can jump, then get a fast car and get to the broken bridge. In the corner where you cant go in, there is an opening and just drive through. (First get a fast Car) then build up speed and go all the way to then end where the bridge is broken and press L3 to jump and you should land on the other side. HAVE FUN

Tunnel under portland
coming up onto the hill where you took the guys car and had it bombed if you go very carefully of the side of the cliff with almost no speed you car will stay on the beach below. folow the mountain side all teh way around the island untill you find flatbed train cars follow their tracks through a tunnell and midway thorugh there are hobos gathered around a secret package take the packagge brutally murder the hobos with no wittnesses or reprecussions. (you can also enter the tunnel the opposite way through the back of the supper mart)

Advance to Staunton Island
To advance from Portland to Staunton Island prematurely, go to the subway. The subway should be closed off at he bottom of the stairs. Take a car down the stairs and either crash it or park it so the door is right next to the subway door. When you open the door to get out you will step out and through the closed off gate. Then go down to to subway and get on the train. It will take you to Staunton Island. It is tricky to get your car to land near the gate but it is possible.

Change outfit
During gameplay press Right, Down, Left, Up, L1, L2, Up, Left, Down, Right.

Police Bribe
To get the police bribe you must have 45 kills in the vigilante game mode. The bribe is in your hideout.

Steal Cars w/ alarms without Being Detected
If you want to hack a car that has an alarm get in the car, and as soon as the alarm goes on, get out of the car and wait until it turns off then go back and steal it. (It also works if you bump the car with another one)

Easy Cash
To get more cash just hit other cars with your car or mess up your car so bad that it explodes then you get extra cash.

Be Careful
When you kill people on the street they drop money. Try and kill Hookers and the old guys because they drop the most money. Don't attack gangsters there fellow gangsters will attack you to. This includes stealing the gangsters cars.

Free Repairs
To repair your car for free, go to your hideout and put your car in the garage. Leave the garage so the door closes. Enter the garage again and your car will be as good as new.

*** This does not get rid of the cops. It only fixes the damage.

Run Faster
Repeadetly tap x. If you hold it down you will slow down. If you keep tapping you will run until u stop tapping.

Roam all 3 islands without doing any missions
Enter the dodo cheat (Right,R2,Circle,R1,L2,Down,L1,R1) so that your cars can float. Then get a tank (circle *6, R1,L2,L1,Triangle,Circle,Triangle) Find a long straight road and put the cannon so it is facing behind you . Hit youre accelerator and start firing . You should take off and you will be flying . Simply fly over the water to the next island. I found this much easier than using a car across the bridge. Flying the tank is a little tricky but easy when you get the hang of it. Good luck.

Gore Mode
During gameplay press square, L1, circle, down, L1, R1,triangle, right, L1, X

Stop Traffic
Do the tank cheat 30 times, then there will be no more people driving.

Stoping Car Fires
When driving in any car, if it catches fire from damage, or being shot, do the health cheat. (during gameplay press R2, R2, L1, R1, L,D,R,U,L,D,R,U) and the fire will be extinguished, allowing you virtually unlimited amount of time in any car.

Floor it
car floors when your on top of it- go on top of a car and shoot the front of the car and then the car will floor it.WARNING - sometimes it does not work just keep trying.

Get a free ride to the 3rd island without stealing a car
When you are on the staunton island go by the bridge that leads to shoreside vale, wait for a car to come and get in the way of it,then jump on it and let it take you to shoreside vale

Get into the Prison on Level 2
On level 2 Chose a really fast car (Farriar gt) (Cop Car) and drive as fast as possible down towards the bridge that leads to the prison, jump off the bridge at you top speed and veer towards the left, once your on top off the wall jump out of your car real quick before it falls into the river. Follow the wall around to the left, you will see stairs leading down into the prison. (This will definitely take a few try's ).

Hints


Secret Car
In the 1st part of the game in Portland you can get one of the best cars, the Banshee, -here's how. Go to 8 Ball's auto yard. Right next door is an auto dealership. In side you will see a blue sports car that looks like a dodge viper, that's it, Bullets don't work on the glass so don't bother. Steal any of the cars in the parking lot and drive it into the glass, the glass will break and then just jump in the banshee and it is now at your disposal. *** There is a secret pack near the car.

Mission Skip
how to skip missions while in a mission press r2 r2 L1 L1 SQUARE (6) CIRCLE CIRCLE AND IT WILL SAY MISSION COMPLETE OR PASSED

Firetruck info
The fire truck is a wepon IM NOT JOKING .Drive on to the sidewalk press o to spray the firetruck's hose.If your aming is just right you can spray peds away from you.If you spraying a guy he will die.
P.S. The firetruck cannot be crushed im not kidding ha ha ha

Get to the 2nd and 3rd island without doing any misions AT ALL
First you must get a banshe and and go to the hospital.you then must spot a rood that goes up and down.drive tords that rood and turn left.then go as fast as you can at the subway gate(witch is closed)and this may take a few trys(Try to aim your car at the wall so you drive on the wall)

Let$ get some MONEY$
This cheat is funny to watch.Before you can do this you have to got to 8-balls bomb shop and rig your wheeles with a bomb drive to a place with lots of peds and kill 1 ped a bunch of peds should croud around the dead guy.park the bombed car over all of them or most of them. step out of the car and watch the show.
P.S. if most of those peds are dead then they don't need it so you can have it.

BOOM BANG situation
Go to 8-balls bomb shop and get you wheeles riged with a bomb.the drive to the diablo turf and park your car in the midle of the road creating a trafic jam.then step out of your car.get away about 15 feet from it then watch your money go up as cars blow up

Easier way to cross islands with out missions
From portland to staunton- get on dodo cheat and just floooor it
2nd to the 3rd island- get a tank, turn the shooter around and start shootin, get going fast and dont stop shootin until over 1/2 way cause if you shoot to much ull hit the top and fall to water if not enogh ull fall into water

Reel fun
Go to stauton island(If you are stuck go to new cheats and find the cheat that is called ''How to get to the 2nd and 3rd island without doing and missions AT ALL)then go to this army fort by the water.There will be a path there(Make sure you take a pistol)Go down that path till you find a huge cliff.pull your pistol out and fire it.the people will scater.Somebody will eventuly run into the water and die.then a bunch of people will run after him and die.then even more people will come and die. Misty power
When you do the mission with misty get out of your car and punch a guy. Then get misty punched.Onec she punches him back the other guy has a garateed deth.

Up the gore factor
Enter square, L1, O, down, L1, R1, Triangle, right, L1, X a confirgiation won't appear but if you shot anybody in the legs, heads, and arms they will fall off its fun so have fun while you can

Garage 4 sale!!!
When you complete the garage the cars you give them you will be able to get them at the garage afterwords!

The Hooker Cheat

Easy Cop Car....
First you have to put any random car in your garage, then steal another car and get the cops chasing you. Steal one of the cops cars and drive off to the hide out. switch the random car in the garage with the cop car. Then drive the random car around to the 'Pay 'n' Spray' to get the cops off your back. Then when you go back to the hide out a perfect cop car will be waiting in the garage!

Health cheat in gta3

Cops can't touch you
Get to the monarail station near you hideout and get ONE STAR then the cops will come but they will just stand there{Now you can taunt them}HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

When you get on your profile load your game then it will be advanced by 6hours

glitches
Down in shore side you have to be flying a tank and at the airport there is a place with a big circle land inside it and be spinning like crazy, when you land get out and you will be halfway into the ground but you cant get out.

Get into shoreside vale early (not using the dodo cheat)
Go to the red light district (near luigi's) and then go into the subway with a car, when you get to the train tracks turn right keep driving till you see a car sticking out of the wall (do not hit it) stop get out of your car then get into the car in the wall, then hit the gas the game will start to glitch. when the car starts smoking use the health cheat to repair your car (R2, R2, L1, R1, LEFT, DOWN, RIGHT, UP, LEFT, DOWN, RIGHT, UP) WHILE STILL HOLDING THE GAS you will eventually drop into a tunnel turn till you see a hill in the tunnel, drive up the hill and you will fall through the road about halfway up and you will land in another tunnel that will take you to the airport or shoreside vale

Ok when you cross over to the next city you have to know where the billboards in the grass is next to the buildings keep going straight rom there until you pass a gray driveway go over the gate and there it is

Pump action criminal killer
I have found a glich in the programing and if you killthe guy in the blue beach shorts(not the fat guy)aka pickpocket or the guy in all black with a hood you amazingly will not get any stars for it

If you have a nice car that is really beat up, just put it back into your
garage, when you reopen the garage door the car will be in perfect
condition.

The Hooker Cheat
----------------
This works with hookers to get your health up. Drive up to a hooker the
passenger side of the car and park next to her. She will bend over and
talk to you. Stay there for a while and she will get in. Then take her to
a alley or a hidden place. The car will begin to shake (wonder why) and
your health will go up. You will lose 1 dollar per health point. After a
while she'll get out repeat the process until you have full health. This
only works when cops aren't chasing you and it doesn't work when driving
cop cars, semi-trucks, buses, taxis or fire trucks. So just use a normal
car.

Hooker Cheat Pt2
----------------
For some real fun after she gets out get out to and kick her ass until
she's dead. She drops all her money that she took from you. Hahahahahaha
free money, fun and most of all free health when you do this.

Get to Staunton Island Early
----------------------------

Advance to Staunton Island

To advance from Portland to Staunton Island prematurely, go to the
subway. The subway should be closed off at he bottom of the stairs. Take
a car down the stairs and either crash it or park it so the door is right
next to the subway door. When you open the door to get out you will step
out and through the closed off gate. Then go down to to subway and get on
the train. It will take you to Staunton Island. It is tricky to get your
car to land near the gate but it is possible.

Easy Cash
---------
To get more cash just hit other cars with your car or mess up your car so
bad that it explodes then you get extra cash.

Faster Taxis
------------
To have faster taxis you must have 100 fares in cab game-mode. The taxis
are at Borgnine in Harwood/Portland.

Police Bribe
------------
To get the police bribe you must have 45 kills in the vigilante game
mode. The bribe is in your hideout.

Hint
----

If your car is damaged or neally blown up take it to YOUR garge and put
it in then set fire to it with the flamethrower, save the game, come back
and your car will be in perfect condition. I did this on pc so I dont know
how it works on ps2.


To get to the third island early.

Park a tank to the side of the subway tunnel in portland and get a bobcat.
Drive the bobcat down the tunnel and clip the side fo the tank, you should
roll onto the roof of your bobcat and slide under the railings!

I have found two glitches on the second island. They allow you to go through
the wall in certain buildings and fall through nothingness and end up somewhere else.

1.The first one is in the hospital parking lot. Enter perfect handling cheat
(R1,L1,R2,L1,Left,R1,R1,Triangle), then jump onto the hospital roof across from
the stairs after that you need to jump onto the second roof. Go to the right and
drive straight off the roof into the building, you should go through the wall,
keep going until you start to fall. (If you haven't gotten to the third island
yet, this will take you to the other side of the barrier and you can go to the
third island.) If you go through it on foot you will not land in the tunnel but
somewhere else and won't be able to get to the third island so take a car.

2.The second glitch is at the police station. Get a police car so you can go
through the gate and get to the back of the station. when you are back there,
go to either side of the building and there will be ledges so you can walk
along the side of the building. Go to the ledge on the left side of the stairs
and walk along making sure you are pressing up against the building you should
walk through the wall. When you are through you can walk around a bit and if
you go to the far corner in the rear (where you break the guy out) you will
fall and land in front of the police station, it's nothing spectacular and it
won't get you to the third island but it's cool to do.

*Since the first one is different when you do it with a car, the second one
might be too. But even with the perfect handling cheat in so you can jump,
it's near impossible to get the right angle to get the car in there. So I
give props to anyone who does manage to do it.

This cheat is to get you to the other islands without having to do the
missions. first. you need a car, then you need to drive to the subway
staion in the red light district. you should see a ramp over the subway.
jump the ramp so that you fall inside. if done correctly the car should
flip over and slide between the gates. then leave the car and get on the
subway and you can go to any island. Go to a saving point and save.
The tunnels work connecting the 2nd island and the one with the airport.
if you die or get wasted then you will be sent back to portland if you
don't save. hope this helps

# Easy "infinite" run

To continue to run at a fast pace without fatigue, just tap X instead of holding it down. This helps when trying to give your character "exercise" so that he can run for longer periods of time as well.

# Stealing police cars

To easily steal police cars, press Triangle at the drivers' side door. Then, as the policeman gets out, go to the passenger side and get in.

# Use cars as a bomb

If you need a big bomb and you do not have the money for Eightball, smash your car into things and use it as a bomb on wheels when it starts to burn -- but make sure you get out of the car before it explodes.

# Getting guns

Go by Toni's place to find an alleyway where an Uzi is located. Go near the mob car on the ledge in the other nearby alley -- you can go between two buildings and find an AK47-like rifle and some armor.

# Hidden packages

When you see the Rockstar billboard, there are usually some items nearby. On the three islands, hidden packages are usually found near the billboards. For every ten hidden packages you find, you gain access to a new weapon located at your hideout, free of charge.

# Programmer message

Go to the parking lot where you had to take out the men with bombs on their chests. Use the Dodo or a pile of cars to get on the other side of the wall that surrounds the area. Once in there, look for a poster with a secret message.

# Regain health

Car jack any vehicle and drive up to a prostitute walking the streets. Stop and let her approach the car, after a few seconds of talking, she will get in. Drive to a remote area where there are not any cops around (a good place is in your hideout). Stop the car, but do not get out. After about two seconds, the car will start rocking back and forth. You will recover approximately 40 to 50 points of health. When it is over, she will exit the car and walk away, but not before she charges you a fee. At this point you can beat her up and take back the money you just paid her. Note: The prostitute will fight back when you try to take your money back. If for any reason you both have to exit the car before it starts rocking, you will still be charged a fee (beat her up to take it back). You cannot do this with the same prostitute twice in one night -- you can however, pick up another prostitute and recover more health. Even though the maximum amount of health points is 100 when you start the game, it increases to 125 after the encounter and remains that way.

# Get to Staunton Island early

Use the following trick to get to Staunton Island before the bridge is fixed and before the subway is open. Go to the bridge to Staunton Island. Go past where the blockage cones are located, to basically be on the bridge. Enable the "Dodo car" code (press Right, R2, Circle, R1, L2, Down, L1, R1), then the "Tank" code (press Circle(6), R1, L2, L1, Triangle, Circle, Triangle). Make sure you are all the way back to get enough room to take off using the tank (as a plane). Start firing the cannon backwards and accelerate. Keep firing the cannon backwards, and just as you get to the edge where the bridge has been broken, you will take off. Try and get back on the ground. If done correctly, you will now be on Staunton Island and when you cross the bridge, the "Welcome To Staunton Island" screen will appear. Note: You can use nearly any car, but the tank has a better ability to fly higher.

# Flying Dodo car

Take the Dodo to the very end of the runway. Turn it around so its facing away from the edge. Hold X to build up momentum, while holding Up. Once you get enough speed, quickly hold Down. Once airborne, use normal controls to level out the car. Note: The small wings make extended flight extremely difficult, if not impossible.

# Fast tank

To get the tank to go extremely fast, turn your turret to face directly back, then fire repeatedly. Watch your shots -- if you hit any cars the cops will chase you. This is especially useful for the Vigilante missions.

# Flying tank

Get the tank, then turn the turret backwards and find a long road. Start shooting it as fast as you can to speed up the tank, hold Left Analog-stick Down. If done correctly, the tank will become airborne allowing you to actually fly it around.

# Tank storage

The game will remember the location of tanks, no matter where they are. Enable the "Tank" code (press Circle(6), R1, L2, L1, Triangle, Circle, Triangle), then park the it near your safe house. Save your game, and when you load it again the tank will be where you saved it. Note: It is not necessary to ever park it in the garage.

# Free repairs

Park your car(s) in the garage at the save point. Exit, then go in to save. You can either save your game or cancel. Either way, your car(s) will be repaired.

# Free paint jobs

Go to pay and spray once. Pay the $1,000 for the new engine and paint job. Then, immediately drive back in an get a new paint job, free of charge. This can be done as many times as needed until you get the desired paint job.

# Drive-by shooting

Get the Uzi and enter any car. Press R2 + Circle or L2 + Circle and your character will shoot the Uzi out either side of the car.

# Secret race-type mission in Staunton Island

In Staunton Island, go to the Super Saver Grocery Store in Newport. Enter the car in the parking lot to get a secret race-type mission, where you must go through check points.

# Yardie Lobo car in Staunton Island

In Staunton Island, drive around your garage (around the block or elsewhere), and find a red car with a white top and panther colored seats. This is a gang car, called the Yardie Lobo. Once you find it, press R3 and move the Analog-stick Up, Down, Left, Right, or diagonally to move it. Press L3 to make the car push up and remain that way. Press the L3 continuously to jump with your hydraulics.

# Hidden package in Staunton Island

In Staunton Island, there is a hidden package on the hospital roof in Stauton Island. The package is on the corner of the building directly across from the stairs. To get the package, park an ambulance parallel, right next to the building where the package is located. Then, park any "van" perpendicular to the ambulance. Then, park any "car" next to the van. Finally, just jump onto each vehicle to get to the roof. The hospital parking lot contains plenty of vehicles to choose from.

# Fastest car in Portland

In Portland, go to the Capital Auto shop. Take a big car and ram it into the glass on the store to break it. Inside is the fastest car in the game, which resembles a Shelby.

# Mini-game in Portland

In Portland, near Toni's place, is an alley with a parked van marked "Toyz". Get in the van to play a rampage mini-game involving an RC car with a bomb attached to it. You get $1000 for each Mafia car you destroy. This game can be played as many times as desired.

# Flamethrower in Portland

In Portland, get a decent car, such as the cab or something that is not too heavy. Drive from your hideout in Portland to the end of the road to your left. Turn around, and drive on the grass under the monorail tracks. On the left section of grass will be a jump made out of concrete. Jump off it, and try to land on the monorail tracks, or at least on the stairway so you are facing the same way that you were driving. Drive in-between the tracks, as you do not want to take a chance at getting knocked off by the monorail. You will soon see a glowing circle on your right, which is the flamethrower. Drive over to it, and park next to the ledge-type object below it. Jump onto the hood of the car and take the flamethrower. Save the game at this point, as it may be difficult to get it again.

# Molotov cocktails in Portland

In Portland, go to 8-Ball's auto yard, and take the path leading to the garage. Before you enter the garage is a path leading left. Take this path, then go straight until you find train tracks. Turn right following, the train tracks. This leads into a tunnel. Keep going until you find a group of bums. Run over and kill them. They will leave Molotov cocktails and a hidden package.

# Drive on elevated train tracks in Portland

In Portland, in the highest area of Portland is elevated train station. The path leading up to the tracks is large enough to fit a car.

# Avoid police chases

After stealing police cars, you are relentlessly pursued by the police until you are captured or injured. In order to avoid this, steal the police car (try smashing them until they get out to arrest you, and then jump in their car). Take the stolen police car to your garage (the condition does not matter), and save the game. When you return with the stolen police car later (from your garage), it will be viewed as a normal car by the police, but will still be able to do the Vigilante mission.

First, find badges. The best places to look are in the alleys and parking lots. If being chased in a car, and you are not about to explode, just keep running, and try to not kill anyone. Sometimes, if you drive around enough in harsh conditions, the cops will just stop chasing you. This only happens if you have one or two stars though. If you have around four or more stars, quickly find some badges. The cops are reckless around them, and will do anything to get you busted, or most likely killed, even if it means accidentally killing a few witnesses.
