This mode allows 2 players to play all the notes. to do it you must win the game on the Medium difficulty setting to unlock Pro Face-Off mode.

Grim Ripper plays Gibson Les Paul
How to unlock: Unlock the Grim Ripper.
Select Grim Ripper as your guitarist in Career mode, then exit Career mode.
Go to Quick Play mode, choose any song on any difficulty level. You can either finish the song or quit once it has started.
Now, go back to Career mode and the Grim Ripper will be playing the Gibson Les Paul with the Cherry Sunburst Classic skin. To make him play the Scythe again, simply select it in the Change Guitar menu.

Guitar Hero 2 Cheat Code Hints!!!
Master Unlock code is blue yellow orange red orange yellow red yellow red yellow red yellow red yellow red yellow enter this code at the start menu if entered correctly you will hear a guitar rif and it will say unlocked! You have to enter this code fast for it to work, if you do not enter it fast enough it will not work! It unlocks everything but disables auto save, so you will have to enter it everytime you reset.

Having a hard time getting from medium to hard? Go into practice mode and play different songs on hard, instead of placing your fingers on the 1st 4 frets place them on the 2nd through 5th. You will have to learn which fingers play which keys when you slide down to hit the orange fret. Ignore the green fret while you learn these keys, Before you know it you will retrain your fingers to play these keys! Then you will have no problem going back to the 1st 4 and easily sliding down and playing the 2nd hand position to hit those orange keys! I thought hard was impossible until I learned the 2nd hand position and within a week I am on expert! Good luck!

If you are having trouble with a song on hard, go to the main menu. Type in this code:

This is the Hyperspeed cheat. Then play that song on expert 2-5 times. Then enter the cheat again and play it on hard. It will seem much easier.

A sound will confirm you did it correctly. Start a new career and it will say your total song playing time for that career. This code can be de-activated.

Awesome Glitch
Ok go to practice mode. pick any song. click on the first available section of the song and only play it. you pick any difficulty. you dont have to hit all the notes but at the end of the section unplug your guitar just before the percentige screen comes up. plug it back in if the screen keeps rolling then thats good. if you pulled out the plug out to early you can pull it out again. now thats done go to career and go to any difficulty and click on any song available. it will look just like practice mode. when the song starts you will be playing the intro to the song you were playing in practice mode. hit all the notes and the game will play the rest! dont press any buttons or strum or it wont work. at the end of the song (only if you hit all the notes) you will get 100% on that song. you can repeat without going back to practice mode. just play your next song on the list. and another thing this works on the song Jordan so you can tell your friends that you got 100% on the hardest song on the game!

Use Star Power Wisely
This isn't much of a hint unless you're having EXTREME difficulties on a song and the only thing that can save you is Star Power.
Basically, activate Star Power when the hard part comes up, or when lots of notes come. You'll be going from glowing red to green in no time!
Also memorize where certain points in the song. Besides notes, long notes, cords, Hammer-ons and Pull-offs, you also need to memorize where you gain Star Power. DO NOT ACTIVATE STAR POWER IN THESE POINTS OF THE SONG! You cannot gain Star Power if it's already activated. Same story if you activate Star Power while you're gaining it. I tested, and it doesn't work. Activating it at the end of the series, and on a long note, however, is okay, but you ahould be hitting the wammy instead of tilting the guitar.
Another thing: Unless a long note is glowing, has a star at the begginning AND it is long enough for you, DO NOT USE THE WAMMY! Waist of time, and takes your hand away from the strum bar if you need it in a few seconds. The best way to position the wanny is to position it just below the strum bar, BUT NOT TOO CLOSE, or you'll accidentally strum, and loose both the rest of the note, and the Star Power.

Sorry for saying it was bogus. I guess my version is slightly different so I will try the PAL versions to see if they work.

The others made my guitar, score/rock meter, and the thingy were you see all of the frets, dissapear so I couldn't see what I had to hit at all or when the song began.
