Sonic 3 & Knuckles:Knuckles opening music
Youwill need level select and debug cheat for this(Angel Island 1 Left(X3) Right(X3) Up(X3)Mushroom Hill 1 Left(X3) Right(X3) Up(X3) after you have unlocked them go to Mushroom Hill 1 or 2. If you are in 1 when you see Knuckles looking press X and gopast him if you're in 2 when you see Knuckles and a switch press X press it again when the whirring stops if done correctly the music will change into the opening for Knuckles on Sonic & Knuckles. The music will return to normal when you enter the Special Stage or complete the act.

Stop Time in Sonic 2
[Pause Game] and hold A for the rest of the stage to play without time passing. Press X to jump and spin dash while holding A. You will move without time passing, but the enimies will still move. To stop the game just relese A.

Sonic 1: Debug Mode & Level Select
To unlock Debug Mode for Sonic 1, press:
UP, X, DOWN, X, LEFT, X, RIGHT, UP, X, DOWN, X, LEFT, X, RIGHT, X. After this, hold B and press Start. Once in the game, press A for Debug Mode.

At the main Title Screen, press:
UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT. Hold B to go to the Level Select and Sound Test screen.

Sonic 2: Level Select & Debug Mode
To select levels in Sonic 2, go into Sound Test Mode. Play these sounds: 19, 65, 09, 17. Hold X and press Start. Once you get to the Title Screen, hold B and press Start to see the Stage Select feature.
To get Debug Mode, play songs 01, 09, 09, 02, 01, 01, 02, then 04. Hold B while selecting a stage by pressing Start to get Debug Mode.

Sonic 3: Level Select & Debug Mode
To get to the Level Select in Sonic 3, press UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, UP, UP, UP after you hear SEGA, but before the main screen shows. (Correction by Don Long)
Once you enter the code correctly, Level Select and Sound Test will appear on the Title Screen when you press Up. To get Debug Mode to work, hold B and select a stage with Start.

Sonic 3: Unlock Secret Stage
Enter the Level Select code, then go to Sound Test. Play the following sounds: 01, 03, 05, 07. Move to Special Stage 2. Once it's highlighted, hold down B and press Start.

Sonic 2: Play Super Sonic
To play as Super Sonic, use the Level Select code. On that screen, play songs 04, 01, 02, and 06. When you start a stage, collect 50 rings, then jump. You'll be Super Sonic.

Easy Emeralds For Sonic 1 And Sonic 2
After entering the Level Select Cheats, warp into the special stage and try to collect the Emerald. Irregardless if you are successful or not, you can always press Z to go to another stage or retry the special stage.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles: Level Select and Debug Mode
Start a "no save" game. In Angel Island Act I, swing on a vine. Press LEFT, LEFT, LEFT, RIGHT, RIGHT, RIGHT, UP, UP, UP.

Sonic 1: Version Select
The default version of Sonic 1 is Japanese Version 1. To play the U.S. Version, press UP, Z, DOWN, Z, LEFT, Z, RIGHT, Z on the Sonic 1 info screen.

To play Japanese Version 2 (with bug fixes), press Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT on the Sonic 1 info screen.

Debug Mode in Sonic 1
At the title screen when Sonic is wagging his finger, press Up-C-Down-C-Left-C-Right. Press Start and then hold A until Sonic appears. There should be hex code where your score should be, and the time should have nothing to do with your elapsed act time.
Press B while playing to switch into debug placement mode. Then, press A to switch between sprites or C to place the sprite. Then, press B again to go back to playing as Sonic. Repeat.

Sonic 3 and Knuckles
When going through a ring or bonus stage hop in and quickly go to debug mode and then come out and then your charecter will be the item you had for debug. note you can also play with it to. but at the end of the stage you will return normal.

Blue Knuckles (S3&K)
Enter the level select and debug mode. Go to Lava Reef zone act 1 as Sonic. Use debug to get into the Knuckles path. Destroy the boss and there should be Lava Reef loopback! Use debug to get to the ledge and go up the other ledge and go to the first lava river you get to. Use debug and go straight up to solid land above go to the top of the screen. Go down at the third pipe after the lava area go to a barrier that you can't get through. Use debug to get passed it. Go under the crusher. Then go off the ledge slowly. Don't go too fast or the game will crash! Hit the checkpoint then charge up a spindash then do some little ones. The game should reset. Go to sound test, pick any level. The player select has to be on 00. Then-out of nowhere- you can play as Blue Knuckles!

Fix bugs in Sonic 1
Press Z,Z,Z,Z,Z,Z,Z,Z,Z,up,down,left,right at the title screen.

225 lives in sonic 1
Go to any zone. Finish it. While the ending screen is on, die- using debug. Note: Have 1 life at the end of the zone. You should go to the next act. Then, die again. Now you have 225 lives. Note: Don't get 1-ups!

225 lives in sonic 2
Get to Chemical Plant act 2. Go to the scene underwater where the 1-up is. Note: Have 3 lives. Stay under there and right when you drown, hit the spikes. You should die twice. Do it again and the life icon should say 'y5' which means you have 225 lives! Note: Don't get 1-ups!

Tails's name to Miles (Sonic 2)
At the title screen, press U,U,D,D,D,U. Go to 'options' and hold A+start. At the player select it will say 'Sonic and Miles'. You could pick 'Miles alone'-or not. At the lives icon, it will say'Miles'. Plus when he finishes an act, it will say 'Miles got through act (1)(2).'

Sonic 2 BETA??!?
Enter the level select and debug codes. then go to '2 player US'. Pick Emerald Hill Zone Hold A+ start and hold A until you see Sonic. You have debug on. Do the Ashura glitch but lay the waterfalls all over the place until you see the first bridge at the beginning. Keep laying the waterfalls until the music starts to error. If you did it right, there will be no springs, bridges, monitors, enemies, or checkpoints. Plus the loops don't work and there's no signpost so you can't finish the act! Sorta annoying.

Sonic cheats
In all the sonic games there are cheats that can be used during game play but hard to get heres how I got Sonic 2 cheats.

If you play the game long enough or keep playing the game from the very beginning a number of times you should be able to get cheats for the game that lets you control certain things like making rings appear or if you stay in the debug mode you can get to the end of the stage without ever getting hurt or getting there with alot of time left.

Make sure that you play the game long enough or started the game a certain number of times to unlock the sonic 2 cheats and have fun with the last boss.

Unlocking Most games
Some game require that you play the game a certian amount of times but they never said you have to play them.

when starting any of the games, wait until the game runs for about 5-10 seconds and quit the game. If you do this a number of times for each game you can unlock the other games instead of playing them for 50 or so times.

Enter the level select and debug code.Go to any level as Sonic.Lay as many S monitors as you can.Spin or spindash into all of them at once.The game should be very glitchy. Press start and you should reset-to Sonic and Knuckles.Plus you have level select and debug!

Easy Emeralds
When playing any of the games that have the chaos emeralds minigame, right before you move, save the game because if you fail on getting an emerald all you have to do is reload your save data and start the minigame again until you get the emerald.

I used this trick every time and have gotten almost all of the emeralds without having to keep going to the checkpoints every time.

Debug Mode
Use Level Select, and All Emeralds, then enter sounds 1, 9, 9, 2, 1, 1, 2, 4 hold square and press start while choosing a selection. Instead of a score you will see level coordanates.

Sonic and Knuckles: Level select
Go to Mushrom Hill act 1 as Sonic or Knuckles. At a pulley, press L,L,L,R,R,R,U,U,U. You should hear a ring. Press start+A. Then, at the title screen, hold A+start.

Extra Continues In Sonic 2

Sonic 2 super sonic
To play as Super Sonic, use the Level Select code. On that screen, play songs 04, 01, 02, and 06. When you start a stage, collect 50 rings, then jump. You'll be Super Sonic.

Level select in Sonic 2
At the title screen (in sonic 2) press down twice and enter the options menu. Go to the sound select and choose sounds 19, 65, 9, and 17 (in that order). If you did it right you should hear the sound when you collect a ring. Once that happens, hold circle and press start to go back to the title screen, once you see sonic and tails at the title screen, hold square and press start to go to level select.

Play as Super Sonic in sonic 2
To play as super sonic (in sonic 2), collect all the chaos emeralds and collect at least 50 rings in any level, once you've done that jump to turn into super sonic. As super sonic your invincible and super fast. However, 1 ring will dissapear every second your super sonic, and once all your rings are gone , you won't be super sonic any more.

Obtain all Chaos Emeralds
Go to Level Select and in the bottom-right corner and you will see a sound select, choose sounds 4, 1, 2, 6 and if you hear the sound you hear when you collect an emerald, you've done it right.

An alternate way to unlock all games
Choose any genesis game ( sonic 1, sonic 2, sonic 3, sonic and knuckles, sonic 3D blast, sonic spinball, and Dr. Robotnik's mean bean machine) and leave the title screen running for 30 hours or more. It's accumulating hours even though it's just running the title screen. Then save the game and exit. Then the games will start unlocking- depending on which genesis game it is. Do the same with all of the genesis games and eventually all the games will unlock.
