Secrets
A Jet For Sky Missions
Upon finishing Chapter 13, when you go to do the Free Mission at Shinjuku,
beat it and you will unlock the Jet. For Sky Missions, on the Dragon
Select Menu, you should normally see Red Dragon Level 1, 2, 3 and Chaos
Dragon. If you go one below Chaos Dragon{which means while you
highlighting Chaos Dragon, just press down}, and you will be highlighting
'???', select it and you will hear Manah's voices. After that, get on to
the mission and you should be riding on a Jet. The Jet looks like, a Jet,
unlike the Dragons you have been using and it's only available for Sky
Missions.

Attack through walls
During any ground mission if you see enemies on your radar on the other
side of the wall, you can begin your run attack until you see the flash
that you are going full speed. Then press the attack button to send your
attack through the wall, killing the enemies on the other side.

Easy Weapon Leveling
To level up weak weapons quickly, go to story mode, chapter 1, verse 2 (to
the castle) on easy mode. Equip Spiked Wisdom, Butcher's Joy, or another
weapon that's magic creates an aura around you that can quickly kill
enemies. Charge up the magic meter, cast the spell, then quickly
press/hold R2, switch weapons to the one you want to level up, and then
run around at enemies. The aura will kill enemies for as long as it lasts
while the kills go toward the currently equipped weapon. Once the aura
runs out, just switch back and repeat.

Drakengard hints (PS2)
# Fly a jet

Successfully complete the Shinjuku free mission. Then, select sky mission mode and highlight the Chaos Dragon at the dragon selection screen. Press Down and select the "?" option to fly a jet.

# Alternate endings

Finish the flight missions with a time under 4:30 minutes to unlock other endings.

# Easy health

To get easy health, simply kill one of the large groups of enemies of about six to ten soldiers, in the X, square or octagon formation. A small health should appear when you have finished them.

# Easy experience

Use a weapon that does little damage and bash into a large group of enemies with a lot of other enemies near. Then, hit them with the weapon or magic to make a lot of hit combos. The larger the hits combo you make, the more experience points you will get.

# Easy kills

In the first or second mission, find a group of weak soldiers (the small ones in gray) and use your magic attack once (Triangle is default). Then, hit them with your sword or ax. To see if it worked, press L3 to see their health.

For an easy dash attack kill, walk fast until you run (with dashed sign when you already run), then press Attack at an enemy group. If you have powerful weapon on the correct location, you can kill all the enemies with one blow. This works on all enemies.

For an easy earthquake blow kill, walk fast until you run (with white dashed sign when you already run), then press Jump then Attack at an enemy group. If you have a powerful weapon on the correct location, you can kill all the enemies with one blow. This works on all enemies.

Attack enemies until you get the last flashing (on the weapon) combo attack. Press Triangle to get a bigger attack on the enemies.

Kill the group Leader first before you kill other enemies in the group. The leader is marked with a yellow dot. After that, the ability of the enemies will decrease and they will be easier to kill.

Focus on one enemy when attacking using the dragon in ground missions. After attacking one or number of group enemies, do a passing move off them slightly, then press L1 + R1 to do an 180 degree turn. Then, attack them again. Do this until they are killed. It is easier to focusing on them if you move the Left Analog-stick Up.

# Attack through walls

During any ground mission, if you see enemies on your radar on the other side of the wall, you can begin your run attack until you see the flash that you are going full speed. Then, press Attack to send your attack through the wall, killing the enemies on the other side.

# Attacking red armored opponents

Do not attack people with red armor. Your magic will still do the damage, but green magic missiles will shoot back at you. Also your dragon's fireballs and specials will also result in the green magic missiles being shot back. To successfully dodge them, press L1 or R1 to stride to the left and right while on your dragon or on foot.

# Controlling weapons or magic

When you hit enemies, use the Left Analog-stick to make a quick turn on every hit to enemies that want to attack you from the back.
# Random items from chained hits

If you score a certain number of chained hits, random items will appear. For example, a small green health orb (20 hits), orange blast orb (randomly), black strength-up orb (100 hits). Note: After picking up an orange orb, you are allowed time between hits is extended for a short amount of time.

# Stronger weapon

Do the expedition event and kill all the enemies with your weapon. Additionally, to level up weak weapons quickly, go to story mode, Chapter 1, Verse 2 (to the castle) under the easy difficulty setting. Equip Spiked Wisdom, Butcher's Joy, or another weapon which magic creates an aura around you that can quickly kill enemies. Charge up the magic meter, cast the spell, then quickly hold R2. Switch weapons to the one you want to level up, then run around at the enemies. The aura will kill enemies as long as it lasts while the kills go toward the currently equipped weapon. Once the aura runs out, just switch back and repeat.

It may be slightly more difficult to upgrade weapons that are heavy and knock enemies back with one hit, such as the Bonebreaker. This is because you become vulnerable between strikes and must to chase down and kill each soldier that has been knocked back. When heavy weapons are used on inside stages, such as the Inner Keeps, enemies are prevented from flying away. Because your enemies are bottlenecked, one swing hits everyone in that direction.

# Dragon upgrade

At 55,000 experience for the dragon it will upgrade to level 2.

# Expedition levels

In some expedition levels, you may encounter a man that comes out of the ground. He is shaped like a normal enemy unit, but is black and surrounded by colored flames. The flames change color. When the flames are red, he is vulnerable to only magic attacks (Triangle). When the flames are blue, he is only vulnerable to physical attacks. A timer is above his head shows how much time is remaining for you to kill him. It starts at 60 seconds. If you kill him in time you will be rewarded with at least 20 kills, for only one opponent.

# Orbs

The orbs do not appear at random. The color of the orb (orange or green) that appears depends on whether your character was hit recently, and the type of the last orb that was picked up. If you character was hit before a chain was completed, the next orb color will be green. This is still in effect even if you were hit awhile back. If you are able to complete the required chain amounts (17, 36, etc.) without getting struck by an enemy, then you will receive orange orbs every time. This will reset every mission.

# Defeating black dragons

You cannot always hit the black dragons with tracking shots. If you are a clever player, you can figure out its flight pattern and can easily hit it with dummy shots.

# Defeating timed enemies

When you encounter enemies with a 60 second timer over their head, use magic when they glow red and normal attacks when they glow blue. They will drop an orb that adds an amount to your kill counter equal to the highest chain that you got on them.

# Weapons from treasure boxes

In every ground level when you kill everyone, except the targets, the game will state that a treasure box has appeared. Press R3 and your map will show you where, in a blue shaped box. Each treasure box on ground levels like this gives you a weapon:

Elf Village: Victors Spoils (spear)
First castle level environs: Hunters Blade
Ice third level: Poison Glaive
