Unlockable: Extreme Mode
To unlock Extreme Mode, win the game once. Extreme Mode requires a saved character to play.

Cheat Menu
Hold L1 + R1 + TRIANGLE + SQAURE + CIRCLE + X, START to unlock the Invulnerabilty and Level Warp menu.

Duplicate Items
Start a new game with a character, earn some money, gems, armor, or whatever. Then save, start another new game with a different character and save the 2nd character in a different slot. Load the save with the character you want to play as, and then import the 2nd character as Player 2. Have Player 1 drop everything you want to duplicate. Player 2 picks it up. Then remove Player 1 and save with Player 2 in the 2nd save slot. Reload Player 1's save. You still have all the items. Import player 2 from save 2, have Player 2 drop all the items picked up the 1st time. Player 1 picks them up, then remove Player 2 and re- import Player 2 as often as you want.

Gather An Army
You can temporarily create a small squad of skeletons with the Necromancer, if you're willing to do some work. After summoning a skeleton, save the game. Immediately load that save game (the skeleton will be there) but you may summon another skeleton. Again, save and load the game to summon yet another skeleton. You may do this until you've got number of helpers needed.

Unlockable: Play as Drizzt and Artemis
To unlock Drizzt, win the game on any difficulty. To unlock Artemis the Human, win the game on Extreme Difficulty and start a new game. Move the cursor to Alessia Faithhammer and then press DOWN once for Drizzt and DOWN, DOWN for Artemis.

Purchase loads of EXP
You'll want to have a lot of gold before giving this one a shot. When you chat to Omiduil he will tell you about your past and you will get experience each time you do so. What you do need to do is save your game twice, once before you chat to him and once after you chat to him. Load the game where you haven't talked to him, and import your character from the game where you have talked to him. Repeat process of paying gold for EXP points. This will also work with the Cleric when she talks to the priest of helm.

Become a Millionaire
The money system in
Dark Alliance 2 is
shared in two-player
games. However all of
the information is
linked to Player 1.
Because of this you
can do the following to
become a millionaire
in a matter of minutes.
First you need a two-
player game. Second
you need to get to the
merchant. Third buy as
many high priced yet
light weight items as
possible. I recommend
the dagger near the
bottom of his list in
chapter 1. It weighs 1
pound and costs 3,000
gold. Player 2 should
be carrying these
items. Save your game.
Sell all of Player 2's
high priced items. Do
NOT save again. Simply
import Player 2. He
will return with all of
his high priced items.
Sell again. Import
Player 2. Sell again.
Import Player 2. Sell
again. This process is
made extremely faster
if you have a set of +5
Grand/Imperial or
Flawless rings or
amulets. They can
easily be worth 150,000
gold each.

Easy Duplication
Simply Save your
character, and import
on a new one, or
possible the same one,
drop the stuff and re-
import.
Simple as that, but to
do this you need 2
characters playing, but
if your not simply save
your single-player
character, play
multiplayer, follow the
steps above and save
it, and there we go!

Easy experience
Before speaking to one
of the experience
''sellers'' (example,
the dwarf in the
Purple Wyrm that will
give the dwarf
experience for gold),
save your game. Speak
to him, and ''buy'' the
2000, 4000, 8000, and
16000 exp quest
reward. Save your
game in a new slot,
then load the first one,
and import your
character from the
second one. Your
character will have all
the benefits of having
gotten the quest
reward, and will be
able to get them all
over again. Repeat as
desired. A sufficient
supply of gold is
necessary for this
glitch.

Make Lyran disappear!
Under Act 2 of the
game, when you get to
Lyran's Hold and find
your way into his
Private Study, Lyran
will appear (as a Lich)
and will follow and
attack you. Normally,
you'd want to avoid
him and get down to
the cellar ASAP.
However, you don't
need to!
Just run out of his
study with him
following, then Recall
back to Baldur's Gate.
When you Recall back
again, he ain't there
anymore! Now, you
can toddle down to
the cellar at your own
pace.
This was discovered on
the European (PAL)
version.

Start an extreme game with previous items
This will start an
extreme mode game
with the items on a
non-extreme save.
First start a new
extreme game and
load the character you
want. Then go to
change players and
start up a new player 2
character. After the
2nd player loads,
remove player 1. Once
that's done import the
character that you just
removed into the
player 2 slot (A
message about
importing characters
will pop up, just
continue). When its
done loading you
should have the
character loaded with
all his/her items from
that save.
Next just remove the
player 1 charater and
you're done.

Unlimited Gold
You can increase
charisma by wearing
trinkets and or boots
containing amethysts.
Increasing charisma
decreases the buy-
price and increases
the sell-price of items
in the shop.
When charisma
reaches 24(plus 35
percent buy and sell),
the sell value reaches
a maximum. At 26(plus
40 percent buy and
sell), the sell-price
becomes 1 Gold less
than the buy-price.
Crucially, the buy-
price is LESS than the
sell-price when back
at a charisma of 24.
Thus, for unlimited
Gold:
Get your charisma to

Enter shop and buy

# Cheat mode

While playing the game, hold L1 + R1 + Triangle + Square + Circle + X and press Start. This will unlock options for "Invulnerability" and "Level Warp". Note: After using the "Level Warp" option, press Circle to resume the game.

# Level 10 character

While playing the game, hold L1 + R1 + Triangle + Square + Circle + X and press L2. Your current character will now be at level 10, with 45 feat points and 500,000 gold.

# Play as Drizzt Do'Urden

Successfully complete the game on any difficulty setting to unlock Drizzt Do'Urden.

# Duplicating items

Get next to a save point. Save your game. Drop the items you wish to duplicate. Reload your character. Pick up the dropped items. Repeat this as may times as desired. You will have the number of items you had when you saved plus the ones that you picked up after reloading.

This trick requires at least two characters. First, save the game. Then, have one character drops all their items. Next, have the other character pick up all the items, sell them, then buy whatever desired. You can then reload the character that dropped all their items. Note: In two player games, gold is shared if you reload the character after selling all the items it will reset the gold to the saved amount. If playing in single player mode, start a second game and save it. Then load the saved game you want to duplicate in. Import the saved character from the other game into the game you are playing and save. Then, repeat the process. When done, export the second character and continue your game. Note: This works well for the workshop. Before selling duplicate items, check to see if they have gems. You can break them out to have gems to work with that are not for sale at first. Also, buy weapons that have gems and break them for extra gems.

If you have items that you want to duplicate, go to a battle area with a save location then save the game. Drop the items to be duplicated on the ground. Then, select "Load Character" and reload your character from the same save. Pick up the item and you should now have two of them. You can use this to make a lot of money by duplicating gems and runes. Sell them, then duplicate them again and repeat. Then make a big item, such as armor with sixteen runes, sixteen gem slot one, and sixteen gem slot two. Upgrade the item, duplicate, then sell it.

# Easy experience

This trick works with all characters who are able to buy experience from their NPC associate, such as the cleric and the church of Helm and necromancer with the Oglulkluer person. Make a lot of gold (use the duplicate item trick if desired). Save the game. If you already used up your NPC experience you will need to start a new game. However, if you have not, save. Spend all your money on experience. Save a new saved game. Load your old saved game before you spent your money on experience. Load your character from the saved game after you spent the money. Spend more money on experience and repeat as many times as desired.

Along with the item duplication trick, you can make your character as powerful as desired. Before you have spoken to the person who gives you experience for talking to them (for example, when playing as Ysuran it is Omduil), duplicate items to get a lot of gold. Then, save your game in two slots. Speak to him as many times as you can to gain experience, then save on one of the slots. Exit to the menu, then load the duplicated original from before you bought the experience. With that loaded, import your character from the newer file. You will have the experience, but you can buy it all over again. Always save to the newer file, load the older game, then import the newer character.

# Easy gold and experience

In some situations, your character may be awarded a prize of 1,000 gold and 1,000 experience points. However, before you claim a prize, save the game and get your award. Load a previously saved game before you get your gold and experience points. Then, load the character that already has the gold and experience points. Keep repeating this processes to get a lot of gold and experience points.

# Increase rank

Each character has their own person to talk to (except Dorn). Most of the time, these contacts ask for money. When you get a chance, pay them the amount of money they ask for. In Act 3, the character's contact will ask them to do one final mission. Do so and your character will earn a new rank that makes them even more powerful. Dorn also gets this, but not until Act 3.

# Start extreme mode with better items

Unlock extreme mode, then start a new game in any other mode (for example, easy) with Drizzt for player one. Give him as many weapons, armor, etc. that he can carry then save the game. Then, select extreme mode and choose anyone. Bring him into the game as player one. He will have all the weapons that were given him or her.

# Defeating Green Slimes

When battling the Green Slimes in the Sewers, use weapons that have large damage attacks, such as swords and maces. When attacking the slimes, hang around the edge of a corner and let them come to you. Then, ambush them when they are close enough to your character. This is the best way to battle in the Sewers, and it saves your health potions.

# Defeating the Harnak

To defeating the Wayfare Inn Boss, make sure you have a ranged weapon. First, take out the underlings. Do not hit the Boss he will not attack you until you attack him. Once all the Goblin underlings are dead, you can attack Harnak. When he starts to chase you, run towards the tables on the right. Jump to get over them. Once on the top side of the tables, line up on the corner closest to the fireplace. This should get Harnak stuck by the bottom table, leaving you free to hit him with your ranged weapon.

# Defeating Luvia's beasts

When fighting in Luvia's Laboratory and you get to the end where she sends two beasts to attack you, only go forward slightly. One of the beasts will chase you. Stay in the bottom portion of the room and use the crossbow on it. This is easier with two players. Eventually it will die and then you can defeat the second one in any way desired.

# Entering the Elemental Planes

When entering the Elemental Planes think of where your going and prepare yourself as follows. Buy at least 200 health potions. These areas are not easy and you will die very fast if you do not have enough of them:

Elemental Air: Use your normal equipped weapons and armor for this area. Also save all the way through it.

Elemental Earth: For this area, you will need to buy leather armor and wooden clubs with a damage of 5-8. This is due to the many of Rust Monsters on this plane. After you get to the entrance of the Earth Foundation, put your regular armor and weapons back on and tear the Boss apart. Go after the bowmen first or you will not survive.

Elemental Water: Use regular equipment. Nothing special is required for this plane. Make sure you save the game before you go into the foundation.

Elemental Fire: For this plane, if you feel bold and want to have some fun, upgrade weapons with the Aquamarine stone for the freezing ability.

# Mace upgrades

When you reach the point where you have to fight Trolls at Skull Gorge, upgrade your weapons. The best way to do so is to have two maces that can be upgraded. When you upgrade, use these stones for the weapons. With these weapons in hand as you enter Skull Gorge, you should have no problem defeating the Trolls that are waiting there.

Fine Lite Mace: 1 Rune Stone 1 Jancinth and 1 Jade. Combine all these on this one mace and you will have a Mace that will have the Fire and Acid ability and also have a +1 rating as well (Acid damage +1-4 and Fire damage is +1-8).

Fine Morning Star: 1 Rune Stone 1 Ruby. Combine these to create a +1 weapon that will bleed 1 round per level of the character using it.
