Pair Play mode
Press Left at the main Tekken Tag Tournament screen (where you
select the game mode). This mode allows you to have a controller two
tag partner or controller two opponent with his/her partner.

Hint: Yosimitsu: Easy win
Press Triangle, Circle(2). Do this repeatedly to win.

Hint: Devil and Kazuya: Cross-transformation
Get Kazuya and Devil into your tag team. When you have them tag,
instead of running off the screen they will transform into one
another. The bad side of this is that you cannot tag on the ground.
However, if you are up close to your enemy, they will be thrown
backwards, giving you time to change.

After you transform, the lightning will go for shorter than a
second. The CPU opponent will know this is not part of the
transformation, but some human opponents will not know. Press 1 + 2
as soon as you can after you transform to Devil.

Armor King's alternate costume
Complete arcade mode as Armor King. Highlight Armor
King and press Start at the character selection screen.

Hint: Standard throws
Left Throw: Press Square + X.
Right Throw Press Triangle + Circle.

another outfit, but it does select the green one most frequently
because it has no button activation.

Hint: Unknown: Cycle through stances
When playing as Unknown, press R3 to cycle through stances.


Fight as Alex
Highlight Roger and press X at the character selection screen.

Escape Backflips
Press Up/Back when playing as Jun, Ling, Michelle, Nina, Anna,
Kunimitsu, Yoshimitsu, Eddy/Tiger, Forest to do an Escape Backflip.

Press Start when selecting Jun, Michelle, Ganryu, Forest, Jin,

Begin match with tag partner
Hold Tag (L1) before a match begins to switch the order of the
fighters. This can be done before the match finishes loading (if you
want to start the first round with your second character) or before
the previous round's winner has finished their victory celebration
(if you want to start the second or third round with your second
character).

Hint: Jin: Easy win
Use his Triple Spin Kicks move. Then when they are down, use his
Lightning Screw Uppercut move.

Hint: Fight longer and better
During a match against the CPU, try to keep some distance between
you and your opponent. This gives the CPU opponent less chances to
grapple and slam you to the ground. Keep a good distance and block
as often as possible. Attack when you get the chance and get out of
there as soon as possible. You may still lose but if you practice
this technique you will win. Your battles will last a little longer
so you may want to set the timer to infinite.

Choose any character, and select Eddy, Bruce, Paul, Law or anyone
who can do major damage or are quick such as Eddy or Jun as your
second character

Hint: Reverse a reversal
If the CPU reverses a Left Punch (Square) quickly press Forward +
Square + X.

If the CPU reverses a Left Kick (X) quickly press Forward + X +

Eddy FMV sequences
Complete arcade mode once as Eddy after choosing him
with Circle, Square, Triangle, or X at the character selection
screen. Then complete arcade mode again after choosing him with
Start at the character selection screen. Note: Make sure you choose
him as your first player and not your partner.

Tekken Bowl mode: Characters with crosshairs
The following characters have crosshairs in Tekken Bowl mode: Brian
Fury, Yoshimitsu, Gun Jack, Jack-2, and P. Jack.

Theater mode
Complete the game in arcade mode under any difficulty
setting once to unlock Theater mode. This allows the FMV sequences
to be viewed.

Hint: Jack: Arms swing around
Select practice mode and choose freestyle. Select Devil or Angel as
your character and Jack-2, P. Jack or Gun Jack as your opponent. Use
one of the laser moves on the Jack and his arms will swing around
three times. If you do this in arcade mode, stay away from Jack when
he does this.

Hint: Law: Partner attack
When playing as Law have Lei or Howrang as your partner. When you
are Law, press Forward, Triangle, Square and press Tag as soon as
possible. Lei or Howrang will automatically run and do a Flying Drop
Kick.

Tekken Bowl mode: Hit man
When in the Tekken Bowl tournament round, aim for the man on the
right side wearing the purple and white outfit and stop the power at
the max. The screen will rattle and "K.O." will appear. The message
"Caution: Do not try this at home" will appear at the bottom of the
screen.

Unlock theater mode then highlight the movie option. You will see a
choice of three videos. To unlock an extra video called "EMBU 2",
complete arcade mode with Unknown. EMBU 2 will be the same as EMBU,
but with all the animals of the game fighting in front of a
different background.

Change Unknown's Fighting Style without Tag
Press Analog-stick Down. Note: It must be pointed down exactly.

Tekken Bowl mode: Synchronized dance
Select Alex or Roger, then select Panda or Kuma. Bowl a strike and
they will do a synchronized dance.

Select anyone first, then choose either Tetsujin or Mokajin. If you
get a strike, both will do the same dance.

Ultra hard difficulty setting
Complete the game under the very hard difficulty
setting. After you defeat Unknown, the Ultra Hard difficulty setting
will be unlocked in the options menu.

Tekken Bowl mode: Recommended characters
Use P. Jack, Gun Jack, or Jack. They have sensors that tell you
where your ball is going. They also have more speed on the ball.

Hint: Gun-Jack and Bryan: Special attack
As Gun-Jack, press Down + Square + Triangle then quickly press Tag.
When Bryan enters, press Down, Down/Forward, Triangle, Back +
Triangle.

Start with Gun-Jack and press Down + Square + Triangle to perform an
uppercut. Press Tag immediate when it connects. Then, immediately
press Triangle with Bryan.

Note: The following moves requires the controller to be set with
presets in the options menu. When you enter the "Options Mode"
screen, go to "Controller Setup" then do the following: Hold either

you find these: LP + RP, LK + RK, LP + LK, and RP + RK. Set them to

Use his Hunting Hawk attack repeatedly.

Tekken Bowl mode: Fly with bowling ball
When bowling in Tekken Bowl, over-charge the speed to the top limit
for bowling ball. Your character will roll with the bowling ball.

Hint: Jin: Omen move
Jin and Heihachi have to be partners. While playing as Jin, press
Back, Triangle, Square (Lightning Power Shield). Then, while in that
lightning power, press Triangle(2), X. An odd bit of lightning will
appear over his body every so often.

Fight as Tiger
Highlight Eddy's screen and press Start.

Alternately, highlight eddy and press R2.

Different before and after battle poses
Certain tag partners will feature a different pose aside from the
standard ones. For example, if you fight as Paul and Kuma, Paul will
begin the battle by punching Kuma. Note that according to the story,
Kuma is always after Paul and he is sick of it. Other possible
combinations are: Paul and Law, Xiaoyu and Panda, King and Armor
King, Julia and Michelle, etc.

Alternate tag
Press the Analog-stick in any direction.

Devil's alternate costume
Press X while selecting Devil to get a Red Devil.

Practice mode stage select
Highlight "Practice mode" at the main menu. Hold L2 and press R2 the
listed number of times to select the listed stage.

Hint: Faster character unlock
Go to the Player 1 versus Player 2 mode, and keep fighting with
different characters. After awhile, characters will start unlocking.
Keep doing this until every locked character is unlocked, then save
the game. In order to leave this mode without losing all the
characters, you have to exit during battle by pressing Start and
exiting to the main menu. Then, go to options and save.

Go to team battle mode and select eight characters (Yoshimitsu,
Paul, Gun Jack suggested, as well as any character that has an
ultimate move which takes off about 75% of opponents health). Press
Start on controller two and do the same. Start the battle. Do an
ultimate move (for example, Back, Back + Square with Yoshimitsu, or
Back + Square + Triangle with Paul). When you unlock Wang and Roger,
choose them for both players, as their moves are also quite strong.
Every second time you do all of this, you will unlock another
character. This takes about five minutes each time Note: You must
exit from a battle and save the game. If you exit from the character
selection screen or just save directly from the menu, any unlocked
characters will be lost.

Hint: Kazuya: Transform into Devil
Unlock Kazuya Mishima and Devil. Choose Kazuya first and Devil
second. When the fight starts, you will Kazuya, but not Devil. When
needed in the fight, press Tag. Lighting will form around Kazuya and
he will transform into Devil.

Basic costumes
Nina, Yoshimitsu, Anna, Jin, King, Paul, Law, Hwoarang, Gun Jack,
Bryan, True Ogre, Ogre, Heihachi, Julia, Kuma/Panda,
Tetsujin/Mukojin, Lei, Xiaoyu,and Eddy all have four outfits each of
the four selection buttons (Square, Triangle, Circle or X). Jun,
Kazuya, Roger/Alex, Kunimitsu, Michelle, Ganryu, Devil/Angel, Wang,
P-Jack, Jack-2, Lee, Baek, Armor King, Unknown, and Bruce have two
outfits (Square or Triangle for one and X or Circle for another).

Hint: Jin and Jun: Easy win
Pair Jin with Jun and execute Forward(2), Square, X. This cannot be
done in bowling, obviously, but he will laugh after the move is
successfully done.

Pair Jin with Jun and choose any battle mode (practice, arcade,
etc.) except for bowling. Press Forward(2), X, Box. If this move is
successful, he will laugh.

Tekken Bowl mode
Unlock True Ogre to access Tekken Bowl mode. You can hit Dr.
Boskonovitch in the background while playing Tekken Bowl.

Tekken Bowl mode: Hit Dr. Bostonovitch:
Aim at Dr. Bostonovitch at the left hand side of your screen and
bowl into him. You will knock him out, and the announcer will yell
"K.O." To make this easier, choose a robot fighter and use its
ability to aim to your advantage.

While playing Tekken Bowl, use a human and move all the way to the
right. Then, aim all the way to the right, and at any speed, shoot.
When the ball hits him, an arrow appears with "K.O." besides it.
"CAUTION: Do Not Try This At Home" will also appear at the bottom of
the screen.

Angel FMV sequences
Select Angel with Start and successfully complete arcade mode with
her.

Hint: Heihachi: Spank Lee
Enter arcade mode and unlock Lee. Then, play as Lee first and
Heihachi second then wait for the fight to start. At the beginning,
Heihachi should be spanking Lee.

Fight as Angel
Complete arcade until Devil is unlocked. Then, highlight Devil and
press Start at the character selection screen.

Automatic lower parry
Press Down/Forward with any character to lower parry.

Tekken Bowl mode: Juke Box
Score more than 200 points in Tekken Bowl. Press Start, select
"Bowling Options", and choose a song.

Start match with second character selected
Hold Tag and press Start.

Tekken Bowl mode: Upskirt
This trick works with any of the female characters that have a skirt
costume. Julia and Xiaoyu work best with this trick. Select Julia
with Square, and Xiaoyu with Start. Your goal is to overcharge while
bowling. To do so, max out your power gauge. It will say
"Overcharge" and your character will hold onto the ball when they
slide down the alley. You will be able to see Xiaoyu's underwear, or
what appears to be a thong for Julia.

Tekken Bowl mode: Easy strikes
Do not move your character at the beginning. Instead, keep him in
the middle. When you see the marker, keep it in the middle. When you
get to your power, do not use a lot.

Choose Jin or Hwoarang as your first character. Tap Left then press
X. Tap Left again and make sure you have very little spin on the
left (or none at all) and use a lot of power. Note: Make sure it is
still over the yellow part when getting the spin. As they are
running up to take the shot, tap Left again. You should get a
strike.

Super charger
Press all buttons as any character while fighting.

Hint: King: Easier chain-link combos
"Buffering" is an extremely useful technique for pulling off some of
his ridiculously difficult chain-link combos. This technique is done
by holding down a button(s) in the current button combination if
that same button(s) is used in the next combination while pressing
any additional required buttons in the next combination. For
example, if one of the combos requires you to press Square + X, then
X + Circle, to "buffer" this combo press Square + X, then while
holding X, press Circle. Also keep in mind you can buffer multiple
buttons. It seems very complicated but it is much easier than it
sounds and makes things incredibly easier. Try studying all of kings
chain-link combos and you will notice you can "buffer" almost all of
them at a certain point in many different ways. Another helpful hint
is to program the four shoulder buttons with different button combos
such as LP + RP, LK + RK, LP + LK, and RP + RK. You will notice that
these combinations are the basis of almost all of his combos.

Gallery mode
Unlock Devil and Angel to access gallery mode.

Select start off taunt
On round 1 with Xiaoyu, Yoshimitsu, Nina, Paul, Law, Lei, Jin, King,
Heihachi, True Ogre, Ogre, Bryan, Kuma, Julia, Hwoarang, and Eddy
you can select your taunt by pressing Triangle or Square and X or
Circle.

Hint: Kazuya: Easy win
Use his Triple Spin Kicks move. Then when they are down, use his
Lightning Screw Uppercut move.

Tekken Bowl mode: Over-charge strike
If you over-charge your ball and cause a strike, like a strike
replay it will repeat the strike over. But if you get a strike while
over-charged, it will repeat the strike approximately ten times
over. Use any of the Jacks, True Ogre, or Ganryu to make this
easier.

Hint: Law and Paul: Special attack
As Law, press Forward, Triangle, Square followed quickly with Tag.
When Paul enters, press Triangle(2). Paul will hit the enemy in the
air and automatically tag out. When Law enters, press Square to hit
the falling enemy.

Fight as Heihachi
Complete arcade mode under the normal difficulty setting with two
rounds, without losing any rounds, in less than 5 minutes, 30
seconds.

Easy exit
Hold Start and press Select during game play or at the character
selection screen.

Devil FMV sequences
Select Devil with Square, Triangle, X, or Select and successfully
complete arcade mode with him.

Kuma FMV sequences
Complete arcade mode as Kuma after choosing him with
Square or Triangle at the character selection screen. Then, complete
it again after pressing Circle or X at the character selection
screen (Panda).

Fight as Tetsujin and Unknown in arcade mode
Unlocked Tetsujin and/or Unknown. Select arcade mode, then scroll
down the character list to the bottom left corner (Wang). Press Left
and will appear and can be selected.

Hint: 99 hit combo in practice
Go to practice, highlight and select Yoshimitsu with Triangle,
Hwarong with Square (for you); then Eddy Gordo with X, and Paul
Phoenix with X as your enemies. When you go in you can pull off any
hit combos, make sure your opponents do not fall over. If they do,
the hit combo will stop counting and start over.

Hint: Paul: Easy win
Use a move that makes them go flying, then use the Burning Fist
attack when they get up.
